Family-owned since its founding 45 years ago, Galeon Yachts recently launched its 2,800th yacht from its facility in Gdansk, Poland, highlighting the company’s commitment to quality, innovation and forward-thinking design. Galeon offers a range of 26 models from 33 to 80 feet, including Flybridge, Hard Top, Sport Cruiser, Skydeck and Explorer lines, continuing to incorporate mindful design like its “beach mode” drop -down wings/balconies on the aft side of the boat that expand the cockpit and entertaining space.
“Since we first introduced the drop-down wings in the 12-24m category of yacht, we have refined and improved the design,” says Marta Sledziewska, marketing and communications director at Galeon Yachts. “Now the wings are bigger, there are windows through which you can see the sea below, and the engineering behind the lowering system is both smoother and faster.”
From the entry-level 335 GTO to the impressive 800 FLY, Galeon has prioritized mindful design and innovative additions as the company has expanded over the years, along with its iconic Flybridge offerings and drop-down wings, flexible layout is another signature of the brand.
“Flexible design is at the heart of what Galeon yachts bring: the promise of the best quality of life according to the mood and priorities of the guests on board,” adds Sledziewska. “Combined with the freedom to choose from our carefully curated styling options and colours, this ability to convert areas of the boat from one use to another is why we describe our yachts as semi-custom.”
Galeon recently premiered its new 520 FLY at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, representing the latest advancements in its Flybridge collection and showcasing drop-down wings, expanded entertaining space and easy on-deck movement, with accommodations for up to six guests across three cabins.
