In the clouds.

After teasing a new lineup in late 2025, Nimbus debuted its new 12 Series at boot Düsseldorf in Germany this past January.

The three-boat lineup from the Gothenburg, Sweden-area builder consists of a Weekender 12 (W12), Tender 12 (T12) and Commuter 12 (C12). All three of the models share the same footprint, with a 41-foot, 7-inch length overall and a beam of 11 feet, 4 inches. They also share the same hull. That bottom is an air-lubricated twin-stepped platform that Nimbus designed with an emphasis on a dry and efficient ride with smooth handling. The stepped hull, in particular, is appealing to many boaters, as the boat effectively rides on a cloud of air, making it float over chop when driven at high speeds.
To that end, the boats come standard with twin Mercury Verado V8 300-hp outboards, and are also available with twin 425-hp V10 Verados or twin Volvo Penta D4-DPI 320-hp inboards on the T12 and C12. With the higher-hp outboards, the boats are reported to hit blistering top ends exceeding 45 knots. With the efficient hull and the capacity to hold 224.5 gallons of fuel, range numbers should be admirable as well.
A structurally integrated, extended swim platform makes for easy access to the water and has a hydraulic option as well. Customized helm seats offer exceptional comfort while underway. Stainless steel railings on all models are overbuilt for a secure feel, and the aft deck seating has been reimagined with the specific purpose of creating as much entertainment space as possible.
The differences of the 12 series are seen in the hardtop options. The T12 features a longer and wider T-top with solar panels and acrylic see-through glass sections, the W12 features an open, Targa-style hardtop, while the Commuter has an enclosed deck salon.
If you are looking for a boat that meshes comfort, forward-thinking design and high performance in a package that exudes Swedish boatbuilding confidence, this new series from Nimbus is a must.
