Tiara Yachts 39 LE: The new jewel.

Tiara has long made a name for itself as one of the world’s pre-eminent designers of versatile boats.

Whether fishing, dayboating or long-range cruising, Tiara has something for everyone. This is no small feat in the world of boat building, where companies have skewed towards more niche markets in the past decade or so. The latest from Holland, Michigan’s finest is the 39 LE.

“We’re really proud of this one as it occupies a new space in our product portfolio,” says Gabe Rose, design manager at Tiara Yachts. “It’s truly a brand-new boat; there’s nothing else in our lineup that it is replacing. It is also our first galley-down product in a while. That design feature opens up
the cockpit space for more entertaining.”

The boat has several other features that Rose raves about.

“There’s a full-beam windshield that offers a lot of protection from the elements that our customers like a lot,” he says. “People also like the fact that there is a full cabin, which is great, especially if you have a young family. A terrace to port gives you even more entertainment space, and two fold-out ladders mean that everyone can get in and out of the water easily. If you’re looking to have fun on the water, that feature might seem simple, but it’s going to come up huge.”

Rose also points to seats in the cockpit that can swing around to face different directions as further proof of this boat’s versatility.

“You can really kind of change the whole configuration of the deck depending on what you’re doing in the moment, and that can make it almost feel like it’s a few different boats in one package.”

That is certainly not an easy thing to do. Of course, what would you expect from a builder that has staked its reputation on versatility since day one?
