The government of Canada is offering free admission to places operated by Parks Canada from June 19 to September 7, 2026, as part of the Canada Strong Pass. All visitors will receive free entry to all national historic sites, national parks and national marine conservation areas operated by Parks Canada during this period, as well as free lockage at canals administered by Parks Canada on historic waterways.
Fees will still apply for camping and accommodations, reservations, Radium, Miette and Banff Upper Hot Springs, mooring, guided tours, hikes and programs, third party services, fishing licenses, firewood, parking and permits. Visitors will receive a 25% discount on camping and overnight stays during the Canada Strong Pass period, offering further incentive to get out and explore national parks and sites!
Regular admission fees apply outside of the Canada Strong Pass period. No entry pass or ticket is required during the free admission period. To learn more, visit parks.canada.ca.
