Bill Barry-Cotter, who founded Riviera in the 1980s, has made an indelible mark in the marine industry.

Innovation was key to the venture’s success, and in 2003, after accepting a buyout offer for Riviera, he saw the launch of Maritimo in Hope Island, Australia.

Taking all that blue water experience from down under, Barry-Cotter quickly established Maritimo as a top choice for those wanting a luxurious long- range cruising yacht. The M50 offers a two-stateroom, two-ensuite-head layout, with a massive amidships owner’s quarters taking full advantage of the 17-foot, 2-inch beam, and an impressive forepeak stateroom, both luxurious in fit and finish. Her fully enclosed bridge deck adds yet another dimension to the yacht’s design and purpose. With a fold-out sofa bed option, this spacious area becomes an elegant additional stateroom with a spectacular view.

The swim platform offers access to the lazarette and the aft grill station. The upper cockpit has seating, a dining table, and a large deck hatch leading to the engine room.
