The second model in Axopar’s new 38 range, the new 38 Sun Top delivers an open layout, flexibility and plenty of entertaining space. Featuring the same drivability and livability as the 38 XC Cross Cabin, the 38 Sun Top offers an open layout that allows easy access between helm, cockpit and aft deck, so boaters can adapt to the day as it unfolds.
A reimagined mid-section has modular seating, with the ability to configure the cockpit from individual helm seats to a forward-facing U-sofa that converts into a sunbed with an electric hi-lo table. Up to 10 people can fit in the cockpit, and the large aft deck includes foldable activity platforms and alternative fender box layouts to widen the space. The Sun Top roof has sliding canvas that opens the entire helm and cockpit when the weather is nice, providing shade and shelter when needed.
“Boating has never been about the journey alone — it is about the people you share it with,” says Jan-Erik Viitala, founding partner of Axopar. “The Axopar 38 Sun Top is built around that simple idea, giving owners the freedom to shape their experience on the water while staying true to the performance and quality that define the range.”
Built on a twin-stepped V hull and supported by an overbuilt stringer system, the 38 Sun Top delivers rigid structural integrity and predictable handling. When it comes time to entertain or relax on board, the bow is the ideal space to dine, lounge or sunbath, while below deck a front cabin offers a new kitchen module and optional enclosed toilet with a shower, perfect for overnight stays.
Following the launch of the XC Cross Cabin and now the Sun Top, Axopar will build on its 38 range with the launch of the Cross Top in September 2026. To learn more about the range, visit axopar.com.
