Well-known marine writer Chris Caswell passed away on May 13, 2026. Caswell contributed many articles to Lakeland Boating over the years, and his sense of humor and love of boating came through each story.
Chris was an award-winning boating journalist for many decades, including a decade as the senior editor of Yachting magazine and seven years as the editor of Sea magazine. He even appeared on “Oprah!” as a boating lifestyle expert. Caswell will be missed by many!
