C & T Composites, LLC. has announced it is restarting manufacturing for Catalina Yachts and True North Yachts at its facility in Largo, Florida, while introducing new models and developing a new American-built adventure boat brand, Xplor Yachts.
Led by CEO Patrick Turner, Member John Chen and Board Member Hiten Sonpal, the company plans to bring experienced Catalina designers and engineers back to support new model development and preserve the brands’ legacy of American boatbuilding.
As operations resume, C & T Composites plans to reconnect with dealers, owners, vendors and industry partners. Additional announcements covering production schedules, new models, dealer programs, employment opportunities and customer support are expected in the coming months.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to carry these brands forward,” Turner says. “Catalina and True North have earned tremendous respect over many years, and our goal is to preserve that legacy while bringing back experienced people who know these boats, adding new talent, and building the next generation of Catalina and True North boats right here in America.”
