Horizon Power Catamarans Debuts First Accessible Powercat at FLIBS

Horizon Power Catamarans unveiled its new Horizon PC68A at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, debuting the first fully accessible power catamaran in its size range that features an integrated, multi-deck interior elevator. Designed and built for accessibility and independent mobility, the model features thoughtful engineering, including multiple wheelchair-accessible boarding points, barrier-free access to custom accommodations and elevator access that connects the master stateroom, main deck and flybridge.

The PC68A was designed in collaboration with Horizon Group’s Vision Shipyard in Taiwan and is developed from the proven PC68 platform. President Austin Lin and Richard Ford, founder and CEO of The Powercat Company, re-engineered the platform from the ground up to deliver an experience that is intuitive and allows for easy movement throughout the yacht without compromising luxury.

“Designing for accessibility isn’t about adding features,” says Richard. “It’s about removing obstacles before they’re ever encountered. We wanted to create a yacht that allows owners to move naturally throughout every space while preserving everything people love about the Horizon PC68.”

The PC68A also features Horizon’s Silent Living Package, combining a 1,600 amp-hour Victron battery bank with a Termodinamica air conditioning system to provide generator-free operation for up to 20 hours per day. Twin MAN i6 850-horsepower engines power the yacht, delivering a top speed of 25 knots while simultaneously recharging the onboard battery system.
