Customers requested a bigger boat from Albemarle Boats, and the Carolina boatbuilder has delivered through a new partnership with Spencer Yachts. The new Albemarle 53 Spencer Edition yacht was announced at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Spencer Yachts — a semi-custom Carolina boatbuilder — was the perfect fit for Albemarle Boats, which has built offshore sportfishing and dual console boats from 25 to 41 feet since 1978.
“My children and I have worked very hard over the years to create the finest custom tournament sportfish yachts in the world,” says Spencer President Paul Spencer. “We have always dreamed of a way to provide the Spencer experience to our clients through a more readily available market. We are excited to bring our dream to reality by teaming up with Albemarle to combine the classic Spencer styling along with the Albemarle quality and innovations, and unveil to you the new 53-foot line.”
Construction of the first hull is expected in early 2021.
