As part of its mission to simplify the boating experience, revolutionary marine-tech company AllOY is delivering autonomous technology and electric power to the recreational boating market with the launch of its first boat. The 28-foot power catamaran will feature an innovative helm system, ultra wide helm screens, joystick control and autonomous features like auto-docking, undocking, go to points, and the ability to navigate around other boats, with additional functionality added via regular over-the-air updates.

Along with this announcement, AllOY has appointed John Dorton to its Board of Directors. “John brings decades of boat building and leadership expertise to our board. We’re thrilled to welcome him as we enter this next stage of our development,” says Brandon Cotter, co-founder and chief executive officer of AllOY. “His vast market knowledge is invaluable to the company as we make technical advancements in an industry that is eager for modernization.”

Dorton brings 25 years of experience in the recreational boating industry as the current CEO of Warbird Holdings, parent company of Invincible Boats and YellowFin Boats, and the former president and CEO of Mastercraft Boat Company. “I’m thrilled to join Alloy and be a part of a team that is bringing new technology to our industry. We are going to make boating even easier and safer than it is today, and ultimately bring new participants to our sport,” he says.

The new model from AllOY will be available for preorder in 2023, with plans to ship the first production boats in late 2024.
