In order to promote better boating education, America’s Boating Club has announced it now has a channel on YouTube and a website: americasboatingchannel.com. Funds were granted by the United States Coast Guard.
The channel and site have videos available to stream or download, safe boating messages, skill animations, and audio about boater safety. Topics fall under Planning, Departure, Underway, and Arrival and include life jackets, vessel inspections, steering basics, anchoring, man overboard, docking, mooring, shoreline landings, and even boating etiquette.
Available in English or Spanish, the videos can be played anywhere, anytime by instructors in a classroom, or crewmembers out on the lake.
