They say there’s safety in numbers: The 30th annual Georgian Bay Regatta — a sailing event designed to foster friendly racing and competition while allowing more novice sailors to explore parts of the Ontario bay within a larger (more experienced) group of sailors — is set for July 27-30.
The Georgian Bay Regatta is a sailing event comprising daily distance and course races, nightly anchorages and visits to different ports of call on Georgian Bay shores. The Georgian Bay Sailing Association organizes the event. Any and all sailors, regardless of experience and age, are welcome to attend. This year’s activities kick off at the Midland Bay Sailing Club with registration, a practice race and a welcome BBQ on Wednesday, July 27. Events will conclude Sunday, July 31 will an awards dinner in Meaford.
