The 13th annual Great Lakes Restoration Conference, hosted by the Healing Our Waters – Great Lakes Coalition, will be returning to Buffalo, New York in 2017. Buffalo last hosted the annual conference in 2010.
The Restoration Conference consists of presentations and field trips related to regional Great Lakes topics. The Conference attracts hundreds of attendees from across the region.
Organizers are currently seeking proposals for both field trips and presentations. Submissions are due by May 26. Special attention will be paid to proposals on the following topics: National/regional/state/local Great Lakes policy issues; innovative Great Lakes restoration success stories; addressing environmental injustices;
The three-day conference will be held in Buffalo from October 17 to 19 at the Hyatt Regency at Fountain Plaza. For more information, visit healthylakes.org.
