Under the new ownership and direction of Twin Vee’s CEO Joseph Visconti, AqauSport is entering the 2025 model year with a brand new redesign that delivers modern technology and design while maintaining its fishing heritage. Built in the 1960s by pioneers in fiberglass, the AquaSport brand is renowned for its quality and performance.
“When we acquired AquaSport, it was for the brand name. The molds were old, but the brand had such credibility,” says Visconti. “The brand had been through several owners, including Wellcraft and Genmar and we saw the potential to totally renovate AquaSport to return it to its rightful leadership position in the fishing center console market. Our engineers started from scratch and created the running surface that will support today’s bigger horse-powered engines and give this boat the ride and range that real anglers crave.”
The 2025 models are led by the 28AS, featuring more bow flare and fuel capacity for offshore trips, along with digital switching, auto-navigation features, an ergonomic helm and upholstery design, a comfortable head and the structure to handle up to 600 HP twin outboards.
Through a partnership with Avikus, new models will offer various levels of navigational technology. Fish finder comes standard on each model, with optional fishing electronics like side scan transducers, GPS Anchor Trolling motor packages and Raymarine packages. A redesigned console and new hardtop with integrated speakers offers more comfort and tech, while the stronger transom can support choice of Mercury, Yamaha or Suzuki twin outboards of up to 600 hp.
“The AS28 is a totally new boat with DNA that has stood proudly for over 60 years and we are proud to return AquaSport to its rightful place as a fishing icon,” says Visconti. “By offering Twin Vee PowerCats and AquaSport monohulls, our dealers are able to please customers across the fishing and cruising market with top-quality builds and warranties to support everything we manufacture — right here in Florida. We are proud to be built in the U.S.A.”
