Boat designers wanted — Azimut Yachts, in partnership with Arts Thread, has announced a design competition for young designers. Participants are to design a new day cruiser for the company’s Atlantis Collection. The winner will be offered a three-month internship in Avigliana, Italy, at the Azimut headquarters. The deadline to enter is October 31, 2019, and the winner will be announced in December.
The boat model must be designed using one of the following features: A 10-meter boat with inboard engines; open and multifunctional spaces; under-deck interiors; and comfort details. Designs using sustainable materials are encouraged.
The Azimut/Benetti Group is celebrating its 50th anniversary all year, with one of its signature yachts on display in Times Square now until May 22.
