With a vision of putting a more conscious relationship with nature at the center of the onboard experience, Azimut has built on the success of its Low Emission Yachts. Its new Seadeck Series combines innovation and style with design and creativity, for the culmination of its 20-year mission to implement sustainable innovations. The new series integrates Volvo hybrid propulsion and onboard systems designed to reduce energy consumption and cut emissions, resulting in an impressive 40% reduction in CO2 emissions over an average year of use.
“Seadeck is a new starting point for future generations,” says Giovanna Vitelli, chair of Azimut|Benetti Group. “We wish, once again, to chart a course that will be an inspiration for the entire industry, so that the theme of respect for the environment is interpreted — as it is for Seadeck — with a concrete approach made up of investment, technological research, and the courage to introduce a new lifestyle that embraces the sea.”
In addition to its impressive low emissions, the Seadeck Series is a true motoryacht built for families, with open spaces and a connection to nature at its core, as evidenced by its Fun Island, and open lounge meant to embrace the sea. A generous amount of onboard spaces easily connects to the outdoors with large windows that open to connect interior and exterior, courtesy of the vision of designers Alberto Mancini and Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriquez.
“We wanted to create a boat that puts maximum emphasis on the concept of openness and transparency, and that also represented a radical change in terms of the relationship with nature,” explains Mancini. “With the introduction of the Fun Island, Seadeck is actually a floating island where owners can get away from their daily routine and live in total contact with the sea.”
Design details redefine luxury with a choice of natural and recycled materials, such as cork in place of teak, once again placing nature at the forefront of the design.
“We prefer to talk about consciousness rather than sustainability, a philosophy that determines our way of practicing architecture,” explain Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez. “We try to work by subtraction, because reduction means durability, both technical and aesthetic. And a boat must stand the test of time and be beautiful forever.”
