Lake Erie is hopping this weekend!
The third annual Presque Isle Bay Messabout, which is part of the Bayfront Maritime Center’s Small Boat Festival, will be held this weekend.
The Messabout brings a variety of beautifully handcrafted traditional, contemporary, and antique boats to Erie. Vessels are on display, and many tour Presque Isle Bay on Saturday, rowing, sailing, and motoring. The Messabout includes: free camping for participants on BMC’s waterfront campus, Saturday evening buffet dinner with presentation and awards, and music.

Also, Saturday, August 16 is the 5th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Bayfront Maritime Center. Families, student groups and teams of friends or co-workers can pool their creativity and construction skills to compete for numerous awards, including fastest time and most dramatic sinking!
