The list was calculated from a collection of more than 8,500 boat names provided by boat owners across the country over the past 20 years. The BoatU.S. Boat Graphics and Letters department, which offers online design tools for boaters to create custom graphics for their boat, collects the names.

Last year’s chart-topping names — Seas the Day, Andiamo, Second Wind, Journey and Relentless — were beat out by this year’s newcomers: Freedom, Grace, No Regrets, Liberty, At Last and Blue Moon.
