Pull out the fishing gear: The 15th Annual Greater Niagara BassEye Celebrity Challenge will take place this summer from June 23-24 on Lake Erie. Throughout its history, the one-day bass and walleye catch-and-release tournament has raised millions of dollars for cystic fibrosis research. The Great Lakes tournament was founded by former B.A.S.S tournament pro Capt. Jim Hanley and Bob Rich, a businessman, author and angler. This year’s event kicks off Thursday evening at Rich’s Atrium in Buffalo, New York, with a dinner and auction. Fishing begins Friday from Safe Harbor Marina in Buffalo.
