Boston Whaler 350 Realm

Boaters are returning to overnights but still want the dayboating, “hose and go” conveniences, according to new research from Boston Whaler.

Meet the new 350 Realm, a brand-new category of boat, blending the best designs of Whaler’s Vantage, Conquest and Outrage series.

Powered by triple 350-hp Mercury Verados, this 35-foot, 6-inch LOA platform offers optional joystick docking control, an optional 12V DC Seakeeper 3 stabilizer system and an optional telescoping aft SureShade.

Transformational bow seating includes a bow bench seat and a triple lounger complete with armrests, integrated drink holders and room for a cocktail table. Accessed via a portside companionway, this arrangement provides extra headroom below in the cabin, which includes an enclosed head and shower, and opposing seating that converts into a berth.

A deluxe two-person, electric-slide helm bench swivels 180 degrees to face a second row (or backseat). The second seatback bolster transforms into an aft-facing mezzanine seat complete with flip-down teak footrests. The height easily clears sightlines over the outboard engine cowlings, and creates a social focal point, especially when the foldout transom bench seat is deployed.

Creative use of space is evident under the mezzanine seat, which raises up for easy loading of a 230-quart, built-in Dometic refrigerator/cooler. An acrylic, double hinged access door at ankle level permits quick access to your favorite ice-cold beverage. There is another cooler next to the captain at arm’s length.

Our test boat was equipped with a standard Kenyon electric grill next to the mezzanine seat. A designed Corian countertop pops up and swivels to the starboard side, offering much needed counter space for food prep. Safety switches ensure the grill cannot be accidently turned on with the cover in place.

In-floor dual fish boxes and a well laid out bilge for sea strainers, a generator and Seakeeper access, are done in true Whaler efficiency. Even the angle of the strainers was thought out to address the growing problem with zebra mussels.

“Everything you see on the 350 Realm is the result of customer input,” says Charlie Foss, Whaler design manager. “They wanted style and sophistication with class; we designed a new type of boat that delivers purposeful comfort.”
