BRP — a global design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing company for powersports vehicles and propulsion systems — is no slouch when it comes to wastewater management. In fact, for the past 15 years the company has been in full compliance for every random sampling period. Acknowledging their efforts and stellar record, the Racine Wastewater Utility honored BRP with an award for excellence in facility wastewater management.
“The Wastewater Utility is very proud to have companies such as BRP in the pretreatment program, who take compliance with permit limits seriously and who care about the environment and particularly preserving the water quality of Lake Michigan,” says Nora Erlandson, laboratory director at Racine Wastewater Utility in a press release.
BRP credits their use of a closed-loop water system for testing and validating outboard engines for reducing the amount of water consumption and therefore waste.
