The Brunswick Corporation announced a new addition to its Fort Wayne, Indiana, manufacturing facility. The new 17,000-square-foot building will be constructed next to the existing one, and will be used to produce fiberglass parts for the Harris and Cypress Cay brands. The expansion comes as the Harris brand has continued to expand its portfolio utilizing more fiberglass components, and will allow the company to add fiberglass components to additional models in the future.
“This announcement represents an exciting milestone for our Fort Wayne facility as we continue to invest in the Harris brand, and execute on our strategic plans to increase capacity, stabilize supply chain continuity and drive efficiencies across our global footprint,” says Aine Denari, Brunswick Boat Group president.
The new facility will add nearly 50 new jobs to the Fort Wayne area and is expected to be completed in May 2023. Do to local job creation, Brunswick stands to receive incentive-based tax credits of up to $400,000 from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to assist in its expansion.
