Visitors to the 2019 Progressive Insurance Cedar Point Boat Show on August 22-25 will notice a major overhaul to the show, including more features and visitor experiences.
“This year we wiped the slate clean,” says Show Manager Michelle Burke, “[We] started out with one premise: That the old show is over and we intend to stage a well-rounded boating event that includes new ideas and exciting features to give everyone many reasons to attend.”
Boating history will come alive in a special “Lymans Coming Home” event to celebrate the nine decades this venerable Lake Erie-designed boat was built in Sandusky. Another event includes the traditional “Toledo Antique and Classic Boat Show.”
Dealers will display their new and pre-owned boats in the “Parking Lot Sale.” Dine at one of the food trucks and enjoy live music. There will also be a schedule of on-stage seminars covering topics like important winterizing tips, the latest smartphone boating apps and more.
Of course, all this will be surrounded by some 400 new power and sailboats ranging from inflatables to motoryachts, most on display dockside.
