Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Coast Guard has been hard at work protecting waterways around the country, inspecting incoming products on cargo ships and keeping ports open. While helping members stay safe through quarantining practices, the Coast Guard has also activated their Emergency Response Fund for additional aid.
The Coast Guard is providing mental health support, as well as needed supplies, to members and their families. Bases are staying up to date to keep members ready for assignments. Financial and morale support is also being provided for families should there be an active-duty member death.
