Donate to BoatU.S. on Giving Tuesday

By November 14, 2017No Comments

BoatU.S. is asking boaters to consider donating to its programs on Giving Tuesday, November 28. Giving Tuesday follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and encourages the public to donate to their favorite charities and non-profits. The organization calls its campaign “Give Way” to Giving.

“’Give Way’ to Giving Tuesday helps recreational boaters understand this is the time of year to give priority to the things we cherish: Safe outings on clean waters,” says BoatU.S. Foundation Assistant Director of Boating Safety Ted Sensenbrenner.

Funds donated to BoatU.S. would go towards the organization’s mission to reduce boating accidents and increase stewardship of waterways. BoatU.S. organizes a number of initiatives, such as the largest national life jacket loaner program for kids and the only free online boating-safety course taken by more than 100,000 boaters each year. BoatU.S. also helps fund more than $1.3 million in local boating safety and clean water grants.

Boaters in the spirit of giving can make a tax-deductible donation at BoatUS.org/givingtuesday.
