One of the newer nameplates on the Great Lakes, Elandra Yachts, is set to open a lot of eyes this year with its exceptional Elandra 53, a sleek and elegant cruising yacht that’s made for summers on the water.
With its 54-foot, 8-inch length overall and full 17-foot, 3-inch beam, the Elandra 53 provides an immense amount of cockpit deck space. This elegantly transitions with the salon, which opens up to combine a generous indoor/outdoor entertainment area on a single level.
With its massive panoramic hull windows and open, flowing design, the elegantly appointed salon is bathed in natural light throughout. So is the forward guest cabin, which guests could easily mistake for the master stateroom, with its extensive floor space, queen bed, hullside windows, vanity, locker, TV and ensuite.
As the owner, only you need to know just how exquisite the full-beam master suite really is, with its queen-sized bed, day lounge, apartment-style wardrobe and private ensuite with privacy toilet and double basin vanity.
“In considering the opportunity to represent Elandra Yachts in the Americas, I was particularly impressed, upon inspection of the 53 Sport Yacht, with the attention paid to a superyacht level of fit and finish, the designed-in utilization of space provided by the 17-foot-plus beam, and the offshore performance of the hull design,” says Mike Usina, president of Elandra Yacht Sales, The Americas. “The Elandra Yachts team is delivering a game changing product in this category.”
Among the superyacht features is the transom garage, which opens to reveal a large tender with a roomy lazarette on either side. The amount of storage space for toys, rods and tackle, dive compressors and bottles, or even additional freezers, is impressive.
Attention to detail throughout, including recessed LED lights on all the steps and the lounge on the foredeck, creates an air of opulence.
One detail not to be overlooked is the yacht’s performance. Its wide beam helps the Elandra 53 achieve a top speed of almost 35 knots and a range of over 300 miles. It will also cruise comfortably at 13 knots, with a range approaching 500 miles.
