A five-year plan has been announced in regards to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) called the GLRI Action Plan III. The new plan will take place over five years and includes $11 million in grants for conservation efforts in Michigan.
“More than $2.4 billion from the GLRI has funded over 4,000 restoration projects,” says EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler. “The GLRI Action Plan III and the grant funding we are announcing today will continue to accelerate this great work to the benefit of millions of Americans living in and visiting the region.”
