Rainy days are no excuse to cancel maritime adventures; a new book out this March, titled “Notable Boats: Small Craft, Many Adventures,” provides a number of examples of engaging boat escapes.
“Notable Boats” features a collection of 36 small boats (both fictional and real) and their memorable journeys. For example, boaters can learn about a 11-foot micro-cruiser that was built on an apartment balcony before being sailed around the globe. Each story comes with illustrations of the boat, an aerial view of the deck and a map of the boat’s historic course.
The collection of stories was written by Nic Compton and illustrated by Peter Scott. It will be available in March for $29.95.
