The 11 boats entered in Class 6 are deck to deck at the start of the OPA Offshore Race at the 19th annual St. Clair River Classic in St. Clair, Michigan July 27-28. Chuck Broaddus, owner and driver of Broadco, celebrates after winning the Extreme Class at the St. Clair River Classic (inset). Broadco is a 40-foot MTI catamaran with two 1100-hp Scorpion engines. Broaddus and throttleman Jay Muller earned a come-from-behind victory, after overcoming mechanical problems at the start of the race.
