Fall Lighthouse Fest Returns

It seems that people cannot get enough of the lighthouses that dot the Door County region. In light of this demand, the Door County Maritime Museum is bringing back the Door County Fall Lighthouse Festival for the third year in a row during the Columbus Day weekend, October 8 to 9.

The Fall Lighthouse Festival is an abbreviated version of the larger Lighthouse Festival that takes place each June, but with more colorful foliage. On the first day of the festival, October 7, attendees with have three options to choose from: A two-hour cruises on Lake Michigan out of Baileys Harbor ($49.50); a five-hour tour of Plum Island that departs from Gills Rock and includes adventuring by land and sea ($79); and a 2.5-hour sailing cruise out of Sister Bay ($65).

On Sunday, October 8, attendees will have the opportunity to either explore on the Naturalist Tour, the only all land-based tour of the weekend ($77.50), or on a boat excursion and hike across Chambers Island ($68).
