A celebration of Michigan’s navigational beacons will travel to St. Ignace this summer when the community hosts the first-ever Michigan Lighthouse Festival June 12-14. The Straits of Mackinac will be abuzz with lighthouse cruises, expert presentations, live music, vendors and other special events honoring these important lights, including St. Ignace’s own Wawatam Lighthouse.
