Former New York Tour Boat Headed to Lake Michigan

By August 30, 2018No Comments

A classic canal tour boat is coming to Lake Michigan. The Emita II, which previously cruised the Erie Canal in Central New York, has been purchased by Harbor County Adventures in New Buffalo, Michigan.

The 100-passenger, 65-foot vessel was owned by Mid-Lakes Navigation in Skaneateles, New York since 1974, when she was purchased from Casco Bay Lines in Portland, Maine. Sailing along Lake Erie, the Emita II took over daily sightseeing and dinner cruises from her sister ship, the City of Syracuse, in 2005.
The owner of Harbor County Adventures, Victor Tieri, announced the boat will keep its name and will take riders out onto Lake Michigan via the “Classic Lake Tour.” For more information, visit harborcountryadventures.com.
