The 400 follows the 430 SSC, is 40 feet with a 12-foot beam and has quad outboards that generate great power yet a comfortable and smooth sail. Areas around the boat are separate, creating a versatile design including an outdoor kitchen and U-shaped lounge aft, sunpad, extended swim platform, enclosed cockpit, convertible dinette/sleeping berth, and an aft stateroom bed.
