Garmin Releases New Trolling Motor, Wins at ICAST

By September 4, 2019No Comments

Electronics giant Garmin has a new trolling motor, which recently won the 2019 ICAST “Best of Show” award. The Force Trolling Motor is 30% more powerful than its competition and its unique, high-efficiency brushless motor operates with almost undetectable levels of sonar and steering noise both below and above the water. It’s the first model to have Garmin CHIRP traditional, Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonars.

Thanks to its wireless capability, anglers and captains can spot fish and other objects fast, and the virtual anchor lock allows the option to set one track. With the included wireless remote, the Force can be controlled anywhere on the boat.
“Force is our first trolling motor and the culmination of years of design and creation, so it’s a huge accomplishment to win the category and overall Best of Show against so many seasoned brands,” Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales, says of the ICAST win. “Not only is Force at the forefront of power and efficiency, it’s the most reliable, innovative freshwater trolling motor on the market.”
