Grady-White’s newest dual console, the 21-foot Freedom 215, targets first- and second-time boat buyers and those seeking innovative yacht tenders. The company touts the Freedom 215’s “wide body” roominess, new seating design and “spirited” performance.
The Freedom 215 has an 8-foot 6-inch beam and a spacious cockpit often found on larger boats. The boat also utilizes Grady-White’s SeaV hull, allowing the boat to keep a sports car-like maneuverability despite its limited space. The Freedom 215 features swing-away port and starboard aft seat backrests, which simply pivot out of the way for easy access to swim and boarding platforms.
There are also a number of optional features that increase the versatility of the boat: Boaters can choose between an optional ski pylon that tucks into the transom, a recessed freshwater cockpit shower plus a 10-gallon freshwater tank and horizontal rod storage holders. Boaters can also choose one of five hull gelcoat colors or two paint colors.
