Great Lakes Cruising Club Offers Free Webinar

By December 15, 2015No Comments

Until you get a few trips under your belt, safely cruising around the Great Lakes without assistance can be intimidating. Fortunately, the Great Lakes Cruising Club is there to help new (and experienced!) boaters get their feet wet in the boating world.

On February 29, 2016 at 7 p.m. CST, the Great Lakes Cruising Club School is offering a free webinar on exploring and cruising the Great Lakes. The hour-long presentation by Brad Lathrop, a member of the Great Lakes Cruising Club. Lathrop will cover navigation, provisioning and other boating lessons from three of his recent two-week cruises on his 26-foot trailerable sailboat. Specifically, Lathrop will discuss visiting Green Bay’s Eagle Harbor and Death’s Door, Lake Michigan’s Sleeping Bear Dunes and Manitou Islands, and Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands.

Great Lakes Cruising Club has over 2,500 members across the U.S. and Canada. Paying members gain access to a vast network of friendly boaters, as well as cruising guides and reports, local Port Captains, GLCC shindigs, Lifeline magazine and more. The Great Lakes Cruising Club School also offers other free webinars on its website, such as Cruising Lake Superior’s Canadian Shores (January 12, 2016) and Wilderness Cruising Lake Superior’s Isle Royale (February 9, 2016).
