Highfield Boats launched its new Escape Series, a line of fiberglass-hull center console RIBS made in the US that currently includes two new models: The Highfield Escape 650 and the Escape 750. The new series combines the performance of an outboard-powered, 26-degree deep-V fiberglass hull with the capacity, comfort and safety of a RIB.
“When we opened our plant in Cadillac two years ago, it was with the goal of building RIBs that were both purpose-designed for the U.S. market and made in America. The Escape Series, which features fiberglass hulls molded locally, then rigged and outfitted at our Cadillac facility, is the fulfillment of that vision,” says Highfield Boats USA President Christophe Lavigne.
The new series features a contemporary design with upscale components, decking and upholstery, and the option of a hardtop. Generous seating includes dual helm seats with flip-up bolsters, while the dashboards are large enough to fit a large multifunction navigation/fishfinder display.
The aft cockpit on the Escape 650 features a wide aft seat, while the Escape 750 features a rear-facing seat positioned opposite for easy conversation. The bow cockpits on both models incorporate a forward-facing seat and sunpad. The Escape 650 is just over 23 feet and available powered by a 225hp or 250hp outboard, and the Escape 750 is just over 26 feet and offered with a 250hp or 300hp outboard.
“Highfield Boats is the world’s leading builder of aluminum-hull RIBS. The rugged design and construction of our Ultralite, Classic and Sport RIBS makes them popular for use both as tenders and primary boats,” adds Lavigne. “Earlier this year, we launched our first fiberglass-hull RIB, the ADV7, which has proven to be a big success. With new Escape Series, we are continuing to expand our portfolio of RIBs that make versatile, safe and affordable primary boat alternatives for American families.”
