Hinckley Debuts Largest Picnic Boat Yet

By September 28, 2017No Comments

When most boaters think of Hinckley, they probably picture the Picnic Boat, a model the company first debuted nearly 25 years ago. Despite its age, the Picnic Boat remains a popular choice; and now, Hinckley is unveiling what it calls the largest and most innovative Picnic Boat model ever: The Picnic Boat 40.

The innovation of the Picnic Boat 40 starts with the hull, which is constructed with the company’s new TriGuard Epoxy Construction. The hull-side door also utilizes a bit of ingenuity, as it can be remotely opened and totally stored for additional space in the cockpit. The Picnic Boat 40’s layout was revamped to emphasize front to back flow and lounging space.

The 40 utilizes twin Hamilton 322 high-efficiency jet drives powered by twin Cummins 480-hp diesels for a max speed of 34 knots. Optional 550-hp Cummins can ramp that speed up to 38 knots.

The Picnic Boat 40 was first unveiled at the Newport International Boat Show. These new models will be available for delivery in summer 2018. To learn more, visit hinckleyyachts.com/picnicboat.
