Hinckley Launches First Picnic Boat 40

By July 11, 2018No Comments

The largest Picnic model from Hinckley is now available. The first Picnic Boat 40 hull — unveiled at the 2017 Newport International Boat Show — was launched in Maine earlier this month.

With a hull designed by Michael Peters and built with Corecell M Foam, the vessel is a faster, more fuel-efficient model in the popular series.

“Hinckley invented an entirely new class of boat with the introduction of the Picnic Boat nearly 25 years ago,” says Peter O’Connell, the president and CEO of the Hinckley Company. “Beautiful lines, innovative systems and thoroughbred performance have always been hallmarks of the series…We are excited to continue our legacy of innovation.”

The model features a large lounge space, a wetbar, the opportunity to switch from day to night mode with the press of a button, a redesigned Jetstick II, and twin Hamilton 322 jet drives powered by twin Cummins 480-hp diesels.
