“Hinckley Yachts: An American Icon”

By March 21, 2014No Comments

Hinckley Yachts are synonymous with superior craftsmanship and beautiful design, which have made the 85-year-old company more than just a brand name, but the gold standard for yacht design and production.

“Hinckley Yachts: An American Icon” is a new 240-page book that chronicles the company’s place in the sailing community. The book follows the company’s success from its early days, through its patriotic duties during wartime; to its role in advancing science and engineering; and finally its place today as one of the world’s premier yacht manufacturers. It features behind-the-scenes images of yachts and picnic boats under construction, archival images dating back to the 1920s, and photographs of some of Hinckley’s best work in action.

Written by Nick Voulgaris III, an avid sailor and yacht enthusiast, and published by Rizzoli New York, the book will be available in April 2014. It retails for $65 in the U.S. and Canada. A must for every boat-lover’s coffee table!
