Boaters will be able to grab a drink with friends out on the water in west Michigan this summer. A pedal-powered “Cycleboat” is coming to Kalamazoo Lake in Saugatuck and will be available for rental starting Memorial Day weekend. The 16-person pontoon is BYOB, and has guests sit around a community bar in the center of the boat as they pedal around. A staff member is provided with each boat to steer. Cycleboats were first introduced in metro Detroit and Traverse City last year. Boaters can book a trip on the Western Michigan Cycleboat now for $450 to $530, depending on day of the week and season.
