Hurricane, the U.S. innovator in versatile deckboat designs, is set for expansion with a new move into a Syracuse, Indiana, facility. The addition of the new production facility — which was already owned by parent company Polaris Boat Group and is well-equipped for the production of fiberglass boats — will help increase production capacity for Hurricane’s boat lineup, as well as bring a slate of new jobs to the area.
“We are grateful to our customers for the continued extensive growth in the boating market,” says Ben Duke, general manager of Godfrey Marine. “To meet consumer demand and continue delivering the finest deckboats in the industry, we are excited to announce this expansion. We are also dedicated to our community and look forward to welcoming new staff to our ever-growing Hurricane family.”
The expansion will add an additional 50 to 60 new hires to the Hurricane family, with job openings in a variety of positions and roles.
