A March 11 meeting resulted in the International Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence River Board amending Plan 2014 to manage the outflow of water from the Moses-Saunders Power Dam. Lake Ontario’s water level is expected to rise throughout spring, and therefore the adjustment will help keep the level below the Flood Limit (F Limit) of 75.30 meters, which is equal to 247.05 feet.
This means Lake St. Louis will also be affected, and will likely see its flood alert level of 22.10 meters, or 75.51 feet, because it is located downstream of Lake Ontario.
