The new CMAC range of onboard camera and alarm management systems by Iris Innovations represents the industry’s first fully integrated command and control system for boat cameras and alarms. The full-featured security and control system offers digital video recording, alarm management, network and serial data management, and a removable, shock-proof hard drive caddy.
Encased in a stylish enclosure that features wood-effect end caps and waterproof connectors, the CMAC system is compatible with analog IP and HD cameras and includes an HDMI output that provides high-quality live footage to chartplotters, TVs and dedicated monitors. Boaters can also view the onboard cameras on smart devices by connecting the system to the boat’s Wi-Fi router.
“The Iris CMAC system is the first fully integrated device of its type on the market,” says Carl Hitchcock, managing director of Iris Innovations. “It offers our customers a solution that is both flexible and scalable, while eliminating the need and expense of additional helm-mounted control hardware, freeing up space and saving on installation time.”
The IrisControl app was released to enhance CMAC capabilities and helps bring operations and capabilities together in a simple, convenient interface that is hosted on Garmin’s award-winning multifunctional displays and is designed specifically for Garmin’s OneHelm platform. Through the app, users can upload their own deck plans and photos to configure and preset camera positions.
