On April 10, 2019, Irwin Jacobs, best-known for his ownership of Genmar Holdings Co, died at the age of 77. Genmar Holdings Co. was once one of the largest manufacturers of recreational boats. Jacobs later purchased Marquis, Carver, Seaswirl and Larson brands through his company J&D Acquisitions LLC.
