It’s that time of the year again! BoatUS has released the 2020 version of the Top 10 Boat Names. They compile it based on graphics people have ordered through BoatUS Boat Graphics, and this year’s names have similar themes like fishing, relaxation, achievement, on-the-water life and music.
But the most common boat name from the past year is Serenity.
“One of the most common and beloved boat names ever, the owner of this boat may have a high-stress job and is likely looking to the water for a little peace and quiet,” BoatUS says. “Watch out for yoga mats on deck!”
Island Time comes in at number two, followed by Scout, Pura Vida, Seas the Day, Shenanigans and Black Pearl. Cool Change, Liberty and Knot on Call round out the top 10.
“It’s always a challenge to decide on a boat name because the options are endless,” says Scott Croft, the vice president of public affairs. “However, after 28 years of offering a boat name graphics service to our members, we’ve found that certain themes stand the test of time.”
