The new 36 Offshore Fish from Jaguar is built for performance, safety and longevity, and functions as easily as a tournament fishing vessel as it does a family cruiser. Built to last with a hull constructed of 100% Corecell and double infused 100% Vinylester resin, the hull has a lifetime warranty.
Jump aboard this 37-foot boat that weighs only 8,000 pounds, and you’re in for a beautiful ride. The catamaran hull form is that of a championship racer, and with its aerodynamic- and hydrodynamic-stabilized forced air tunnel, lifting strakes, running pads and an anti-stuff bow, it’s expected to reach impressive high speeds of 75 mph with the standard dual Mercury Racing 300R outboards, and 90 mph with Mercury Racing 450Rs.
“There is no flexible adhesive holding this boat together,” says Mark Goodman, who owns the first 36 Offshore Fish hull. “It’s built as a fully integrated monocoque structure, which is both lighter and stronger than the common — and less expensive — methods used by other boatbuilders. Jaguar president John Clarke builds his leisure boats with the same materials and strategies that have been proven at racing speeds up to 140 mph. This contrasts markedly with a strategy of taking older designs that were engineered to run at 50 mph and adding fiberglass — and weight — in an attempt to produce a boat that will do 80 mph.”
Above deck, the boat is built for comfortability and fishability, fully rigged for tournament fishing with plenty of rod holders, triple helm Llebroc seats, integrated tackle station and a rear-facing cooler seat. Dual 700-quart insulated in-floor fishboxes with high-capacity diaphragm pump-outs and a large fully insulated double coffin box that can be reconfigured as a 50-gallon livewell complete the package, with standard twin 50-gallon livewells at the rear of the boat.
The new semi-custom Jaguar 36 Offshore Fish is set to be on display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, with prices expected to range from $385,000 to $600,000.
