After 44 years of innovation and over 600 yachts built, Kadey-Krogen Yachts is taking on the next stage in its journey. Kadey-Krogen Yachts President and CEO Tucker West announced the initial elements of the company’s long-term strategic plan at the Newport International Boat Show in September, and they include new models, international sales expansion and a branding refresh.

The new 60 Open scheduled to launch in 2023 is a yacht to admire, with plenty of room for a long or short voyage, multiple interior layout options, and transoceanic range with a draft of less than 6 feet, all powered by twin John Deere 200-hp 4045 diesel engines.

“The 60 Open represents the evolution of the Open Series and is yet another example of the advantages of having our own in-house design and engineering team,” West explains. “It’s based on our proven design and engineering practices yet incorporates our focus on constant product evolution and a quest for perfection.”

Also new is the 54 Coupe in the Summit Motoryacht series. Open and airy, the 54 offers seamless integration of aft-galley and cockpit, and plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the open air.

“The desire and objective has always been to create multiple model offerings within the Summit series,” West adds. “It’s truly a unique combination of one of the best performance hull designers with more than four decades of boatbuilding experience and craftsmanship of Kadey-Krogen, all offered within a customer-first, factory-direct sales model.”

In addition to new models, Kady-Krogen has signed on with U.K.-based Vortec Marine to represent Kadey-Krogen and Summit in Northern Europe, adding to the company’s already impressive distribution throughout Europe. A brand-new website that helps educate and inform both new and existing customers is part of an exciting branding refresh, and Kadey-Krogen enthusiasts will now have the opportunity to purchase merchandise from the brand-new Ship’s Store that offers brand apparel.

“Everyone at the Kadey-Krogen organization is excited to kick off the fall show season with so many exciting projects and new models,” West says. “It’s very rewarding to finally share what’s been happening behind the scenes for these last eight months with our customers, friends and partners. And I promise, we’re just getting warmed up.”
