Join a Zoom conference at 7 p.m. ET on April 2 and April 9 for the free “Lake Effects” film series put together by the University of Michigan and the Michigan Sea Grant. The film series features short films and longer documentaries about the Great Lakes, including shipwrecks, aquatic invasive species and more.

Those who produced the works, including directors and producers, will also be on the online video platform Zoom to discuss their films.

April 2 will feature “Hazards,” and on April 9, “DPTV Specials” will be shown. The event has been moved online for safety reasons in response to the COVID-19 virus.

Attendees will need to create a free Zoom account before tuning in. To do so, visit https://zoom.us/j/380790681?status=success. To learn more about the event, visit greatlakesnow.org/2020/03/lake-effects-university-of-michigan-film-series.
